Placemat Grey Stripe

Each cotton Placemat Grey Stripe is hand batik painted with wax, and then hand dyed by Mr. Edmunson, a local craftsman in Ghana, and then sewn by a local seamstress, Meek. Every piece comes with a beautiful hang tag, and description the type of textile and from where the piece originates.

I designed this pattern in my Brooklyn studio and worked on production on a trip to Ghana. The stripe pattern is inspired by geometry in nature, and made of layers of batik wax printing and dyeing.

Placemats can be used in multiples or as one centerpiece for the table. Mix and match with our throw pillows, placemats, napkins, and runners.
